The Summer Ball

On a balmy July evening, a dreamy midsummer night unfolded under canvas in the stunning setting of our school.

Guests arrived to a sparkling reception, dressed in black tie with no effort spared, fabulous and ready to dance. The end of term excitement was palpable; the party of the summer had arrived and it was time to celebrate everything that is special about our school and its wonderful community.

The marquee had been transformed into a mystical party palace. Rich colours upon immaculately laid tables adorned with fairy lights and foliage, lighting up the room and creating a spectacle. The three course Italian sharing feast brought people together whilst ensuring no one went hungry. A veritable conclusion to the feast with a shot of limoncello was a pleasant surprise to most! The bar was incredibly well stocked, the cocktails delicious and the service faultless; a hub of activity throughout the night.

The charity game had everyone guessing, and we were absolutely thrilled that all the money raised (including the winnings) was donated to Pancreatic Cancer UK in memory of Luigi, much loved father of one of our school parents.

As the sax belted it’s first song and the bongos boomed, the dancefloor was filled with an overwhelming sense of celebration which continued for the rest of the night.

The atmosphere was electric; we were intent on going out with a bang!
