The weather couldn't dampen the FoHSA Pumpkin Gang this year! The team pulled
together to put on another fabulous HSA community event at our Woodham Rise Site on Saturday 12 October 2024. Under the guidance of team lead, Ryan Bishop, (doesn't he make a great pumpkin!) the event featured so many autumnal games and frolics for all to enjoy.
The children loved bowling with veg - sometimes a bit too enthusiastically - and got goosebumps when trying to guess the veg using touch alone in our sensory buckets. We also got the them practicing their maths skills by weighing veg in our newly built balance scales.
With children racing around the grounds trying to find all the pumpkins in order to win a prize, our team delighted in watching all the fun. The event was well attended with over 140 prize bags given out on the day. The team also added in face painting to our event meaning there were lots of cute little pumpkins running around and the odd frog or two!
Our refreshment stand was busy throughout - serving teas, coffees and hot chocolate to thirsty punters, as well as cakes, crisps, biscuits and soft drinks. Thank you to Sabrina for serving everyone with a smile whilst also handing out prize bags when not serving customers!
FoHSA would like to give a HUGE thank you to Poppies and Peonies for their donations to Pumpkin Trail raffle. With 40 tickets sold, we had 2 very happy winners! Also a MASSIVE thank you to another of our sponsors - Chronical Software - who kindly donated the seed money we needed to put on this event.
And thank you to all of our HSA families and prospective families that joined us on the day and took part! We hope you enjoyed it as much as of FoHSA Pumpkin Gang!
